It's not too early to start thinking about Christmas cards and the new Stampin' Up Holiday catalog is simply beautiful.

This is is from a new set called Watercolor Winter and the background on Very Vanilla is randomly stamped in Old Olive and Soft Suede (for the pine cones).  The card base is Crumb Cake.

The focal image is stamped in VersaMark and hot embossed using the Pewter Embossing Powder. Then the holly leaves and red berries are colored in using Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler markers. With the embossed outline, the image just pops, which you cannot see so much on the photo. That panel is then matted on a piece of Old Olive card stock and popped up with Dimensionals.

The ruched ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding using the Sticky Strip and the "Happy Christmas" is from More Merry Messages in the big catalog.

Here's another card from the same set, Watercolor Winter. This base is Whisper White, with a layer of Rose Red  embossed with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. The poinsettia was hot-embossed using Pewter Embossing Powder, then colored using Rose Red, Daffodil Delight and More Mustard markers and cut out. It was placed with Dimensionals on the largest doily cut from the the Delicate Doilies die cut in More Mustard.  The row of circles is from Chock Full o' Cheer and was stamped using markers, then cut out using the Adorning Accents scallop die. I found a few Mustard-colored tiny buttons, tied with Linen Thread. Then some Crystal Effects was applied to both the poinsettia and the little circles without buttons.

Thanks for looking,
Carole
