Crayon Resist and French Foliage

This card is surprisingly simple for as pretty as it comes out.

The base is Very Vanilla and a layer of a lime green non-Stampin' Up designer paper is used as a mat for the smaller Very Vanilla.

The French Foliage set is still one of my all-time faves.  The leaves are stamped on Very Vanilla using Timber Brown Staz-On, but Jet Black Staz-On could be used as well. The water drops image from that set are stamped randomly using Crumb Cake ink.

Then taking a white crayon or white wax candle, draw along the stems of the leaves, or anywhere you which to resist color.  After that is done, sponge with Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade and Dusty Durango inks over the entire page. The crayon or candle resists the color. Finish by using a tissue to burnish the waxed parts and help the color blend.

Using a hot glue gun, I attached a piece of  Crumb Cake Tulle and a piece of Early Espresso Tulle and then added a very large button, with Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine tied through the buttonholes.  The message is from Grateful Greetings on Very Vanilla, sponged in Dusty Durango. More water drop images are stamped in Crumb Cake across the image.

I appreciate your looking!
