Stamp Till You Cramp Christmas Card Workshop

For the third year in a row, I had three STAMP-TILL-YOU-CRAMP CHRISTMAS CARD-MAKING WORKSHOPS...

At each workshop, we made these 8 different cards, utilizing a variety of techniques. There were drawings, door prizes and some surprises!  These classes are lots of work, but oh, so much fun!  I simply delight in the ladies oohing and aahing their own creations.

Card #1: Base is Vanilla, with a mat of Cherry Cobbler, scalloped on one long side with the Scallop Border Punch. Using Fabric Adhesive and Deck the Halls (retired) fabric, we ran it through the Big Shot with the Scallop Squares Duo Bigz Die. A strip of Crochet Lace Ribbon was placed horizontally first, then the two fabric scalloped squares were added and ironed on.
The image is from Bells & Boughs, embossed on Very Vanilla with Pewter Embossing Powder and the ribbon and holly in the image were colored in with Stampin' Up Markers in Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke.  The message is from More Merry Messages and punched out with the Modern Label Punch.

Card #2:  The image was stamped in Timber Brown Staz-On on Crumb Cake. Once dry, we colored the rooftops, porches and dotted the trees with the White Gel Pen. Then, with the Two-Way Glue Pen, we marked all the same places and added Dazzling Diamonds to sparkle up the snow. That image is mounted on Early Espresso and the surrounding papers are all pieces from retired Frosty Lodge Designer Series Paper.

Card #3:  Using Crumb Cake Card Stock, this "Swing Card" was made using Winter Memories and the Labels Collection Framelits.  The flip side of this image is the hanging skate from the same Winter Memories set.  The sled and the skate were both stamped on Very Vanilla, using Jet Black Staz-On, then colored using Blender Pens and the Riding Hood Red and Old Olive inkpads to make the the subtle coloring. The edges of the Vanilla image were sponged with Soft Suede, which was also sponged on the Woodgrain Embossing Folder panel. Word of Caution: fold and die cut before embossing with the Woodgrain.

Card #4:  Base is Whisper White, then a mat of Midnight Muse is added. On the Midnight Muse, using VersaMark and several steps, we embossed a few snowflakes (Serene Snowflakes- retired) with Silver Embossing Powder, heat-set. Then VersaMarked a few more snowflakes with White Embossing Powder, heat-set and then added the last of the snowflakes with Illuminate to leave a silvery, ghosty image. A little strip of blue-white snowflakes from the Snow Festival Designer Paper was added to the bottom, a silver ribbon stretched across and from the Snow Flurry Bigz Die, a bright shimmery snowflake was cut out of the Silver Glimmer Paper. The sentiment from Bells & Boughs was stamped in Midnight Muse, punched with the Large Scallop Oval Punch and sponged around the edges.

Card #5: This simple beauty has a Whisper White base, a mat of Real Red that has been run through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. A strip of Silver Glimmer Paper for the left edge has been scalloped with the Scallop Trim Border Punch.  The ornament was punched with the Ornament Punch from both Silver Glimmer Paper and the red-flocked window sheet that was part of the Candlelight Christmas DSP. A tiny piece of silver cord to make it look like it's hanging. The silver sentiment is a silver foil sticker from Europe, but any sentiment embossed in Silver Emb. Powder would work just as well.

Card #6:  Base is Very Vanilla and the colors are Real Red and Wild Wasabi.  The retired designer paper is Berry Blossoms. Using the Holiday Frames Embossing Folder, we embossed the Wild Wasabi card stock and hand-cut around the oval.  We sponged on some Frost White Shimmer Paint on the raised portions of the embossing. Then the Scentsational Seasons tree image was stamped on Vanilla with VersaMark and embossed with Wild Wasabi Embossing Powder. A tiny brown card stock trunk was cut and the shimmery star was die cut out of the Silver Glimmer Paper from the star framelit that was part of the same Holiday Frames set.  A little bow in Real Red finished off the card.

Card #7:  The base is Whisper White, then a layer of Night of Navy.  Another layer of White that was 3/4 run through the Labels Collection, leaving the bottom in tact.  We then hand-cut the bottom of the Label aperture, matching the "swoop" in the design of the image. The image was then stamped on the Navy layer in VersaMark and embossed with White Embossing Powder and heat-set. The star was dabbed with the Two-Way-Glue Pen and yellow glitter was added. The top white piece with the opening was raised up with Dimensionals to "frame" the image. A piece of navy ribbon, knotted, finished the card.

Card #8:  The base is Whisper White, with a layer of Gumball Green and a layer of Core'dinations Early Espresso, run through with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder and sanded.  Two of the images from Ornament Keepsakes were stamped in Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green on Whisper White card stock.  Then both were cut with the Holiday Ornaments Framelits.  The third ornament was also die-cut, but from a piece of the Candlelight Christmas Designer Paper. All were raised up with Dimensionals and a tiny piece of Linen Thread was added to their tops.  The Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding across the top with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes (punched with Word Window Punch) and embellished with a shiny brad finish the card.

Thanks for looking!
