Heart Punch Shamrock

Did you know that a Shamrock has petals that are really upside down hearts?  I discovered this quite by accident and decided to utilize it for St. Patrick's Day.

The base is Whisper White, with a layer of Gumball Green Core'dinations on top. The rough-shaped rectangle is cut out of the Gumball Green layer using a Spellbinders framelit.  I put another piece of Whisper White behind it and ran the whole piece through the Big Shot using the Argyle Embossing Folder, then roughed it up with the Stampin' Sanding System so the core color pops a little.

Then, with the Large Heart Punch, I punched out 3 hearts out of Lucky Limeade and using the Hearts a Flutter framelit, die cut another 3 hearts out of a Glorious Green designer paper that has been retired.  I added those to the tops of the Lucky Limeade hearts, to provide a color variation and a "center" to the shamrock petals.

The stem was made using the largest of the Ovals Collection framelits and just cutting it really close.  I added a Gumball Green Stitched Ribbon to the perfectly curved stem.

I went online and found a delightful Irish phrase, "May you have love that never ends, lots of money and lots of friends. Health be yours, whatever you do and may God send many blessings to you."  This I printed on plain typing paper in green ink and adhered to the inside left, leaving the right side for any kind of Birthday, Get Well, Thinking of You or hand-written message.

Thanks for looking and Erin Go Bragh!
