Holiday Catalog, Part 4 - Joyful Christmas

This is the lovely Poinsettia from the Joyful Christmas set. It is so detailed, you can see the veins in the petals. This first sample uses Whisper White Card Stock base and another layer of White that has been embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder.

Then, the Poinsettia image was stamped twice with Versa Mark and hot-embossing with Black Embossing Powder. The petals were colored using an Aqua-Painter and the Cherry Cobbler Stamp Pad. The image was fussy-cut and the 2nd one was just used for the center 6 smaller petals, which I made lighter in color, as Mother Nature sometimes does.

The Poinsettia was masked so the leaves could be stamped, embossed and colored with the Poinsettia image.

"Merry" was cut with the Expressions Framelits is in the center of the Poinsettia. Dazzling Details is dotting the center of the Poinsettia.
Similar to the first card, this one incorporates one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits for the bottom trim and Washi Tape for the side trim.  Also, the leaves here were simply stamped in Old Olive, rather than hot embossed.

Dazzling Details fills the center of the Poinsettia.

This card utilizes the largest Oval Framelit in the collection. The base is Whisper White, folded over and not cut by the framelit, so the top of the card is the fold and not part of the oval. To complete the oval, an additional piece of red card stock must be cut with the same largest scallop oval and adhered to the white.  This makes it looks like the oval is complete. The card opens from the bottom.

Gold Embossing Powder was used here and the same treatment of coloring the petals with an Aqua-Painter and Cherry Cobbler ink.  The Poinsettia here was off-set from the red background by using a Paper Doily.

Thanks for looking!
